Default Stress cracks on headlights

There are numerous stress cracks on my 03' HID headlights that I've tried to polish and sand out but was unable to do so. Obviously the 06'+ headlights would be the best option but I don't think I want to spend $800+. Is there any way to hide stress cracks? Perhaps tinting the headlights or some other non-expensive way?

What about aftermarket headlights such as these?

Thanks

I've never seen anywhere selling just lenses. I think CinCity and some other places will replace them for you using lenses from other parted out sets. I would just buy cheap eBay headlights and replace the damaged OEM lenses with the new ones removed from the cheap lights.

Since there are so many cracking issues with lenses (with or without using overlays), it's a shame someone doesn't sell just lenses. If they do, I would like to know about it.

From what I was told you can not use the ebay lenses to replace your OEM HID lenses. You can either put a very dark overlay to hide the cracks, which I do not think would be a good idea. If the stress cracks really bother you look around the market place on here or ebay for some good condition used headlights which will cost you $300 or $400 but worth it.

It is pretty unfortunate that modern headlights get hazy or crack so easily.

I heard that you can buy those $200 ebay lights (not OEM) and use their lenses cover?

I have that same issue on my 07, pretty stupid design if you ask me

I just keep polishing them out, you can not see the cracks from 3 feet away. Once i get my new DD i will probably just do a yellow overlay across the headlight to protect them from rock chips.
