Free shift knobs from 9k racing
I didn't see another thread here and I'm guessing most people don't want these. I will try 1 if I get if and if it looks like crap or I don't like it, I can sell it or give it away.
If they reach 30,000 participants by 7/29, they are giving everyone a bubble shift **** in their choice of color. If you can't pick it up, you pay $6 or send a prepaid shipping label. Not bad, considering these sell for about $40-60.
Here is the link for those interested. Lets try and get 30,000. Tell your friends. http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=245785178772689
Sorry if I broke any rules with this post. If I did, delete it and feel free to tell me that I suck at life.

I don't know if you realized it, but the facebook group or whatever page it was that had the giveaways are now gone. According to other forums found via Google search, the link's been dead for a few days.
Anyway, here's the link that leads to their page where it mentions the 30K promotion:

It's very hard to believe they are going to produce and give away a shift **** for each of the 30K participants, but I think they know that 30K is a big number and it's likely that they're not going to reach it. Still, they'd end up with a large number of "likes" in the process, ultimately getting their name out. Cool marking scheme, I suppose.

I can't believe people still fall for this crap. Facebook currently has a BUNCH of pages for companies giving away free stuff. It's mostly clothing companies who claim they're giving away 500,000 t-shirts, hats, sweaters, etc. Why the hell would any company give away 30,000 shift *****?
This isn't one of those "giveaways" that you have to allow access to your info, etc. with. This is just signing up that you are "attending" an event. If it doesn't work, it hasn't spammed your page up or anything. I figure it's worth a shot. Not likely they'll get 30k people though. Too many skeptics who won't jump on and see what happens.
