Default Do Luck: Widebody or 4pc kit?

I've got my Do Luck kit on order and patiently waiting for it. In the mean time I've finally got to installing my Stance XR coilovers. Here's what has sparked my interest in the Do Luck Widebody fenders. I'm running 18x11 +25 (Volk GTS) with 295/35-18 tires (nitto NT05). I've had the shop roll the fenders which have also flared the outer fender about 1/4". I knew the wheels wouldn't tuck but we'd thought to take the car as low as possible, which left about an 1" gap.

My goals for the near future are shooting for 600whp on a pump tune, hoping for 700whp on race or E85. Planning to really get into drag racing for good fun not competition. Bottom line I was hoping to get a 315 (toyo tq) tire with some heavy fenders mods including molding a flare. Never going to happen with the current setup.

At first glance I didn't really like the blister fenders, love the clean look. Being faced with decent power levels and wanting traction I'm now bothered with wanting a widebody to fit the biggest tire I can. At this point I thought to just have the shop install the whole thing at once.....

Choices for Black Z:

1. Stay with the clean 4pc Do Luck lines (blitz lip spoiler), and settle with a 285 drag radial (Nitto NT05R)

2. Add the Do Luck widebody fenders, 315 tire, spacers ect, ect....

Thanks for the opinions.

DoLuck widebody would look nice but I don't like how it doesn't quite match up with the door's body line. Not sure if it would give you any more tire clearance either.

Might be better off just pulling the fenders some more and having your body shop clean up the pull with some glass/filler......

4 pieces. Clean look FTW

The wide body needs a lot of work, and the exterior will look very busy

WB.. youre already changing the car big time w the front fenders.. it will look like half one car and half another if you dont continue the lines around the car.. IMHO buy a diff kit if you dont want something busy.

i do agree about the door... aits a little weird, but again, if you do the whole kit, in person its quite nice....Darrens car was legit.....and the business of the kit will actually look pretty good if the body work is well done.

Throw some sick dished wheels and be done.

I have the do luck wide body kit...If the only reason you're looking into it is b/c of the wider tires I'd Just get the 4pc kit and call it a day or the top secret wide body. The Do Luck WB doesn't give you all that much more clearance in the rear and its the same amount of work as any other WB. Of course there's other WB kits out there like the veilside, mastergrade etc etc....but thats if those kits are to your liking

This is a hard one as the only reason I ever bought my Do-Luck rep was because of the first car you have pictured. Wide bodies are gorgeous especially with the Do Luck Blister fenders but I think the 4 piece is a better choice.

Very nice Z OP.

I would just change the tires as you suggested or lower it more (if possible)

Your do luck better be authentic...

I would have shyed away from going full wide body...I just personally think the fenders look odd.

and if your going full doluck you should be getting 12" wide rears and put 335s on it

are you building a showcar? street car garage queen? if so then go authentic doluck widebody.

if not, the 4 pc will suit you well. it's sexy kit, either option will come out sweet.

Well not the kind of show car that will go into HIN and clean up but car shows none the less. It has been and will continue to be a weekend beater. I really would like to get serious at the drag strip which is why I'm more focused on performance and traction. Honestly the 4pc kit has been a goal of mine for some time now. The agressive wheels have made me look a little deeper into the body.
