Here's a place that sells lens and other parts. The sti lens is too large for the 03-05 headlights, you'll have to do a retrofit.

Yeah the 03-05 are hybrid projector/reflector design. The projector is much smaller than your standard projector. I'd do a retrofit... put a full size projector in. Check out www.hidplanet.com forums for ideas.
Here's a pic of 03-05 projector compared to a standard sized projector.

What retrofit? Sounds like you have something specific in mind... It is impossible to fit an STi lens in a 03-05 projector, completely different design as you can see in my pic. I've already done a general retrofit, my 04 headlamps have been retrofitted with BMW e46 bixenon projectors, they perform closely to the 06+ headlamps. However I think the 06+ Z headlamps still perform better than the BMW e46 projectors.

I'm not sure where to buy the specific projector that is in our 06+ Z's. It would be just as easy to retro any other number of brand of projector into the headlamp. No real reason to go specifically with the one that comes with the Z. In fact there are several other brand or projectors that are considered to perform better than the ones in the Z. If your going to do custom fab work might as well put in the best projector you can get, and the one that comes in 06+ Z's isn't the best. No matter what projector setup you got, it would most definitely cost less than getting new 06+ headlamps.
I definitely recommend a retrofit to anyone who has good craftsman skills and can fabricate and manipulate material needed to make the headlamps look good after switching to different projectors.
