Bat's new Headlight Overlay(PICS)
#22
I'll take some evening pics for you guys with the lights on.
As far as tinting the whole headlight, I wouldn't do it. The material I use isn't all that dark, but brightness will be affected somewhat from the tint. Here's a pic of a smoke Overlay I did for the Celica. Notice how the projector part is left untouched, so the light isn't affected at all. I thought of doing something like this with the Z, not sure if it will look nice, but I can give it a try.

I can't tell for sure form the pics, but it looks like you're laying the tint on the outside of the light, correct?
Please be careful with this one, guys...watch your lights like a hawk if you have HIDs. I'm hoping you guys don't have the same issue as us S guys did, but quite a few found that HIDs and overlays (even static cling ones) just didn't mix. We saw some nasty crazing of the headlights. My lights were fine for 2 years, I used static cling tint, and the lights were riddles with fine cracks within 3 weeks!
I'm not saying this will happen to you, just watch out for it.
