I bought the 06+ headlights off of ebay

They do NOT come with
-ballast
-D2S bulb (but the other bulbs are there)
-rear cover
I moved the ballast and the thingy at the bottom of the head light it connected to from my 03 head lights. I dremeled the D2R bulb to fit in the D2S slot (I had D2S bulbs on order) and I bought the rear cover from courtesy nissan

All together, my total cost with everything was under $700 for 06+ headlamps complete. I have them installed in my car right now and they work great and I am so glad I did this upgrade!

Also, they are real Nissan headlamps, came in nissan boxes and everything

Good to know. Thanks for the review. Sucks that the 03's are the only ones that require some wire modifications. But glad to hear it worked out.

wire modification? I just had to swap some parts over, mod a bulb or buy new ones, and buy a new rear cover, it is different between the 03-05 and 06+

Ballasts are the same in 03 all the way up to 09....

Classy, which ebay purchase did you make? The ones from AmericanMotorParts?

Yeah no wire modifications needed, the 06+ plugged straight into my 04 Z and they work fine. I recall some people having issues with the turn indicators but mine work fine.

i bought 06 housings without back caps, bulbs, ballasts or wiring from bulb to ballast.

I was able to use the ballast and wiring from my 04 set but the bulb was different, i allready upgraded the04 set to 6000k and that bulb was good for both types so i used it. The back cap i bought from nissan for like $8 each.

Ya i've already bought a set of 06+ headlamps from them. They were very well packed in Nissan boxes. I paid $850 shipped which isn't bad...

It is wired internally, all that is different wiring wise is that the high beam is wired to the bi-xenon. TRUST ME, it works, if you have 03-05 HID headlamps, you can swap 100% of the HID and it will work, I can speak from experience. The list I provided was complete with everything you will need with the head lamps bought from Ebay. Less than $700 with alittle work or $1k+ for a complete set, up to you!

Also, using the same bulbs from my 03 headlamps, the light output is SOOOO much more! I have a set of 6000k bulbs sitting on my desk for whenever I get the motivation to pull the headlights back out, what are stock

Would be nice if the eBay ones (from americanmotorparts) were OEM. Still skeptical, I sent a message to the seller (americanmotorparts):

Are these OEM? Or are they aftermarket? Are they brand-new? Or refurbished? Interested in buying a left + right set.
Response from americanmotorparts:

Hello

They are after market yes they are new.
So, I'm not saying that those who got it from this seller (that claim they are actual OE Nissan parts) are bluffing, but the seller is clearly stating that they are aftermarket. Also, a little bit of research leads me to believe these lights might be manufactured by TYC. It's possible that they used to send out OE Nissan parts, but now they use aftermarket.

Take it for what it's worth.
