Default Led/Hid Mods. Tell me what you think...

Sorry if I post this in the wrong section. I just got my LED lights done to the Z and my Hid's. Tell me what you all think. Thanks.

In my honest opinion... It looks almost as if you're too desperate to stick out. Regardless, the car is still stock. Legitimate mods will do that in itself. But hey... It's just an opinion, to each their own.

Honestly,LED overkill...could be bordering on rice...

I especially don't like the front side markers.

With all those lights on your Z,people may mistake you for a very low semi (tractor).

Hey,if thats what you like,go for it!Just not my thing...does not add to a Z.It subtracts.

Up close and personal it looks kind of a ghetto job. One can tell that it is one of those "autozone" pre made strips that you tucked in there. I would have at least drilled small holes to allow the light to pass through from behind the plastic. Cleaner look that way. If you check out a thread of DUKEENTDOTCOM's where i show off some of the work you can see how i did it. Otherwise hey if you like it then thats all that matters. And if these lights gets you some Poon then all the more better.

In a nutshell,here's whats happening.When the "new" Z came out(03),it was
marketed to the Porsche crowd. At about 35k,a bargain but,out of range
for the Honda/Toyota guys. Now that tons of Z's are out there,03&04's can
be bought at good prices. The Civic guys are moovin on up.A good number of these guys had the big wings, huge single pipe out the back, cut coils...wild paint jobs.Otherwise,Rice Kings. Now that they bought a Z,they are do'in
some of their usual sty'lin tricks.

was this a DIY or you had someone else do it?
strip in the headlights looks far better with the lights on than off.
looks really tacky, if you had used double sided tape and stuck it on the outside of the lens I feel it would give about the same result in terms of the finished work. not worth the trouble you went through imo.
but i am hoping you wont stop there and try to clean it up.
everything else looks good.

i'm a fan of the reverse, trunk, interior, and parking lights for leds. not much of a fan of the front reflector and the headlight strip.

ill be honest, OEM looking LED is what i like, and i do think the side markers would look better if wired to the turn signals.. and in amber so theyre off mostly..but thats just what i did w mine so im partial to it.

daytime? the led strip is kinda not super great looking, but i know those things are like 10 bucks each.. so all in all, it looks pretty good at night.

The thing that makes OEM cars look cool is those LEDs are in in small chrome housings so it directs the light and makes its own shape, nit just the "dot" of the LED itself... if i iever re did mine, id try to build something like that in..

anyways, rice overkill? yes..
but i bet you are pretty happy w it, so there ya go. thats all that matters really.

not a real fan of these - when i first saw these on the Euro cars a few years back I thought they were kind of neat -especially for a chick car, but their exclusivity has worn off - you see them on just about any car now. But as long your happy with it, thats all that matters.

I agree the tail of the car looks nice however I would have put the LED's horizontal more like the Audi's not Verticle up the side of the headlights. Also the LED"s on the bottom fenders are a bit to much for me, a few tweaks and it could come out nice in my opnion!

Thank you all for your honest opinions. I agree the headlight strip does look kinda tacky. I though the side markers were alright looking lol. I get all this done at this shop by my house. Supposedly he's suppose to be a professional at lighting, well that's what I heard for the most part. I wanted to try it out & give it a shot and see how good he was. I might get a few things changed around on it so it doesn't looked riced out. They told me I can come back anytime in the next few days & get stuff changed on it or just removed free of charge. Thanks everyone!!!
