Unless ur current paint is in bad condition, or u got some siginificant body damage I'd keep it red. I only repainted mine since it got vandalized in several areas and half the body was gonna be repainted anyways. Paintjobs are expensive and you could be putting that money toward other mods. Just my .02

Cool Color is personal

Design is my background.Certain colors look best on certain cars. These colors bring out the best of what the original designer wanted "to say".Saying this, the lines of the 350z lend themself to the silver/grey silverstone shades.
Red also works well. The"hot" colors..blue,yellow...overpower the great design of the body.Black looks good on just about every car...works well on the Z.
However, color is personal. Most people are just not good on what "works".
Thats why they hire decorators etc.
Reading your info. (past Z),It was Daytona blue. This tells meyou like the
"car show" stuff. The red, albeit the shade of red used on the Z is great--Ferrari-like,may be too mild for you.Another factor is your interior.I'd guess
your's is black...could be gray..possible burnt orange if OEM.

If it were me,I'd leave it red.A complete color change done right is big bucks.
I tend to like the platinum used on the GTR.You mentioned carbon fiber interior in your future plans. This would really match.

When I get a paint job (color change) it will be a very dark blue, almost black. My shop is Autowerks in IL. its a very good shop, they told me a color change would be $7500. Its a lot of money so make sure your good with the color you choose. Next year a Supercharger and a tune, the year after that a color change paint job then I will be done with the Z.

I don't know if you read...but if you do,if its still available somewhere, get a copy of "REBUILDING THE INDIAN".Its not about cars..about bikes.Indian
motorcycles to be specific.Ay any rate, does'net matter if ita about a car, bike,
boat..whatever.Its about "doing it right"...getting it "perfect".The guy in the book wants to paint the Indian he is rebuilding...your color.

I sure hope so. Im not some rich baller kid that lives with mommy and daddy, it takes me along time to save up for stuff. If I dont do it right the first time it will be a long time before I will have the funds to re do it.
