The end product looked good in your OP, but under sunlight, it just looks like beat up (or scratched up) old plastic. 
Also, the panel itself is a little different on the 03-05s and of course, this probably won't look good for those of us with Frost interior.

nice job buddy!
yah I'm looking also for a cover for the switch panel but it doesn't appeal to me much... this is a perfect project, i was also looking if i can make it like a silver finish that would match the gear shift panel on an 07 350z
