Yeah I have a t w m in mind it's pretty naughty I guess it doesn't actually just dropped back in though there's an adjustment process that has to happen with the reverse lockout pin.
I have the thread saved some place if anybody wants it.. mine still in the shop right now and I'm having a fit in a cd 009 transmission but I think the real problem was just misadjustment after my short shifter install.
I had a z 32 in the shifter rattle and shifting was nowhere near as bad as our cars... that maybe why the abflug was possible..

Dunno...

I'm gonna let this other guy go ahead and build 1 and see what he whips up

hey E30cabrio.. theres a thread on here if you search for it called shifter alignment procedure.. or something very close to that. If the bellhousing and clutch n everything are totally intact, then it generally doestn need much aligning.. but if things have been r/r'd or anything.. our shifter actually has a centering and clearnacing adjustment process from Nissan.. starts at 6th and works its way down.. has to do with the position of the lockout notch etc too.. mines still in the shop, but when it comes time to assemble it all again, ill be having them do that process on mine as well.. maybe check it out and see if it helps w the notchiness.
I also got NIssan fluid for the box this time.. no more Motul or redline or whatever i had last time.. wrong viscosity etc makes a 100% difference in the shifting. Nissan fluid or bust man.. give it a shot.

And to the dude who builds all this stuff... wheres my gated shifter plans man?? Im actualy serious.. make it happen and if its cool id buy it.

you would have to have tremendous maneuverability skills when driving fast. I mean check out that picture the way the "fork" is set up. Very fine and close pattern. So say you drop 1st to second fast then try for third you would have to center the stick slightly move it over and go up in one shot. SOME people can't even do that normally!! For maybe a quick swap and CAR SHOW purpose it might be a worth it idea. But for a daily driver to tracking the car i don't see it being feasible. Like i said i honestly dislike it on my 71 Pantera. Check out the Stock Scaring from hitting the forks Since 71..lol. The plate is actually new with a new design of a plate that slips over revers so 1st to 2nd can slam i quick with no mistakes.

dont care.. still major cool. Id love to bang that around all click clack style.

shifting that fast is not something i have to do.

Its a widebody, ie, will never see a track. All about the fun while cruising to me.

btw, i just had my TWM short shifter threads cut off, then had the rest of the remainign shifter body threadedd all the way down to the rubber isolator junction.. that way my exposed shifter extender isnt so darn high up AND now the shift boot should be level with the waterfall shifter surround, instead of sittng 2 inches above it.

Id LOVE the OP to make something for me.. im not a BS-er.. i love modding cutting and building isht.. and im also into actually paying for things as well.

hint hint OP.
