if the shift pattern is right, it should be easy to copy, if you wanted

but i bet you want the only one....

That seems out of place and I definitely don't like the dome design. If it was more flush with the console, it'd look better.. that and if it didn't show the internals.

i ahve my ways around that already. plans had already been in motion... and a feature to diminish vibration.. and was going to build this myself soon.. but now im saved. I will however trace the pattern out and yal can make up your own plates etc.. the pattern is the tricky part to get right..

domed style is a great addition i think honestly. just like the R8. not for everyone, but hey, neither is a flat black veilside v3 haha.. right?

+1 on the Veilside V3

The reason why I say the dome is out of place is because if you look at the center console, nothing is "dome-shape." If anything, they're inverted domes (ex. AC controls or even the current shifter assembly).

If it was inverted and if you couldn't see past the shifter, then it'd look 10x better, imho.

imsure theres ways to do it. but thats the factory shift mechanism fully w only a ballknob.. so that rubber boot cover sits higher than the whole deal, making it necc.. BUT..for guys who choppy chop things like me, it be no problem.

Im sure I will ahve the local carbon fiber guy make me a cover for it, and thusly will have a mold... hmm.. ah the posibilities.

but, after the thrill is gone, i will pawn out my sloppy seconds. haha. Ill let ppl build their own w the pattern, id have to scale it and maybe do a pdf like they have floating around for the rs hood vent cut outs mod.

agreed.. its not for fast shifting.. bt for saturday afternoon cruisng.. should be siiick.
I plan on jsut having a 2nd waterfall with a shift boot on it.. can swap that out with zero tools in less than a minute. Fits in the glovebox behind the seat too. Never have anything else in there anyways

thanks.. it is indeed what i pride myself on for sure.

I stiole the pic from anothetr thread for the diamond and smooth headliner, got a 375 quote, and the same shiops gonna redo my door panels w some ahrd foam and matching diamond.. will look insane.. kind of like the DAMD white convertible did, but f it.. i liked that car too.

As i said before, im running out of stuff to buy for now.. added new engine mounts , some gold hood hinge risers and a set of dress up bolts and spacers to my weeks ebay onslaught.

anyways, ill shoot some pics of the raw shifter gate when i comes in, front n back etc.

The (rear-mounted) transaxle Alfa's rarely had a decent shifter "feel" - way too many sloppy joints in the linkage, and the slop increased quickly as the car aged. None ever had an OEM gated shifter, either, so that may have even made the shifter worse. OTOH, the Alfa's with a regular (bolted directly to the rear of the engine) gearbox had a wonderful, light, and direct feel, although the throws were long.
