+1 OEM or higher end hoods and even then they don't fit right sometimes.

I have the OEM style Vis CF hood.
To each their own, but I like CF hoods in most cases.
My fitment is pretty much on the dot.
No complaints.

BUT, my OEM hood is about 1lb lighter than my Vis

A bunch of my friends laughed at me when I said I wanted a CF hood.
"Your hood weighs much less! You're going to ruin your car! It's going to be ricey!" etc.

Haters gonna hate.
Too bad all of them liked it when I put it on
Their rebuttal is, "....It's still heavier..."

But to answer your question about the R35 hood.
Can't say that i've seen a Z with one on.

Or a picture of the weight of the hoods?

I don't have any close up shots of the hood and it's fitment.
It's my dayoff tomorrow so I can make that happen upon request

CF hoods don't look good on a stock exterior Z and appear out of place or unfinished... though once you start adding tasteful exterior mods it starts looking better.

Czarrr you're Z looks good but I would like to see what your Z would look like with the V2 grill painted black.

Personally I think the hood looks okay on stock exterior.
What throws it off is the crappy wheel fitment.
Very unaggressive.
Don't get me started on the wheel gap.

There's a local DB Z here in my area.
I see him often, always throw up the deuces when we pass.
Stock exterior, CF hood, BUT with anniversary rims.
It looks real good.

I've actually been thinking about painting the grill black.
I don't know how I feel about painting the whole 'mouth' of the kit black.
It might look 'too much'.

Talk to Navith here on the forums.
Great guy, I have never had a problem communicating with him,
His price is just as good, if not better than the Ebay seller.
