New Auto Shift **** - Review/Info
Hey everyone,
So like many of us automatic owners, I wasn't to happy with the factory **** setup and have been browsing the forums for info since I purchased the car coming up on a year ago. A while ago I came across a post on G35 by member Killjulez.
See thread here:
http://g35driver.com/forums/accessor...*****-t-3.html
I contacted Julian(KillJulez) about these on a 350z and decided to test this setup out on my 06'Z to see if they would work as well for the Z's as they do the G35.
Excellent contact by seller, replied to me with all my questions and info. I decided on a machined Titanium setup, made payment (9:30pm), and was contacted moments later that it was to be sent out the next day .... contacted again the next day with shipping info and tracking info.
Package arrived this afternoon, sealed in plastic, wrapped in bubble wrap, wrapped in shipping paper, and surrounded by larger shipping air packets. Perfect
Unwrapped (missing from this picture is the allen wrench included to install)

Well made, perfectly smooth finish, good weight, smooth threading...
Install took less then 5mins. and only because I tested out a couple heights to get the look I wanted. I ended up pulling the blue plastic shift rod extension off to get a nice low setting, slid the mounting sleeve down until it stopped and tightened it up. Here are some install pictures (in the bottom right the **** is fully compressed):

The **** fits and operates flawlessly, good feel to it and looks 1000x better then factory.

All in all, great product & service from a fellow member.

I might end up getting a boot to make it look more complete. But I like how low it is because I can have the side of my hand against the edge of the shift ring and tapshift with the slightest thumb/index movement.

Great write up. Thanks again for test fitting this for me. It looks great. NiftyShifty might be able to make a boot for it too. I know he specifically made some boots for the G's to fit the shortened height of this ****.

Hey,another comment on this great looking **** conversion.
As I've said in previous posts,my profession is design.Of course, everything that
people see, decide on colors,textures...what goes together etc.,is based on personal preferance. On this particular installation, the choice of the brushed-look **** goes well will the interior and nearby climate control *****.The last thing you want is when you look at the interior, all you see is the ****.
A good design or,a mod to the original design, looks like it was "always there".
You have accomplished this and improved upon the original.
Makes you think, why did'nt they put this in the car in the first place!
