Default Installing CF Canards on OEM bumper?

Is it possible? I have four carbon fiber canards here but no way of attaching them to the front bumper. Any ideas? Are there some kind of mounting brackets that I can buy?

Thanks

usually screwed in from contact side of bumper, if not 3m double sided tape

unless nismo front or if no front lip and the rest of the car is oem - i'd say no to installing them though.

3m double sided tape would NOT hold canards down lol...

$hit would fly away as soon as you hit 40-50 mph lol

Do you think it would look good on a stock bumper? I'm not sure if it would flow/fit properly .

Yeah two much wind/pressure on the front of the car to hold a canard on with 3M tape, needs to be screwed in.

Yeah, this is what my Z looks like right now:

I'm thinking I need a some sort of a bracket because I have no idea how I could possibly screw them into the bumper without one.

I've seen people ghetto rig it with L brackets found at the hardware store.

+1, OP your Z is not modded enough to pull them off IMO

However, if you insist on installing them you should post a pic of the canards so that we can assist.

i'm assuming you have like a universal set of canards....

first thing to do is determine the angle of attack you want on the canards.

then using a rotary tool. smooth the surface that mates with the front bumper so it fits the curvature with the angle you want.

since you want this to stay on and actually push your front bumper down, i suggest fabcricating a brace the entire length of the canard such that equal force can be distributed across it while at speed. you can do this by rigging up a cardboard mock up of the underside of the canard and a piece of cardboard on the bumperside and draw the slope of the curve... take this to a metal fab shop and have them make this curved ledge. drill the bumper side in first, then drill ontop of the canard and mount with hardware. if you have the 2nd of canards you want to place underneath the first set, you an actually make a larger bracket for both canards and mount the entire structure to the bumper.

think something like this:

dont use like little pieces of L brackets, that's not going to hold.

True, although I've lowered it since that picture and I'm installing a NISMO V1 spoiler next week.

Thanks man, this is exactly the type of response I was hoping for. I'm going to think it through because it seems like quite a lot of work.
