Default OEM Floor Mats?

Hey,

Quick question for all you Z owners out there. How many of you are rocking the OEM floor mats straight up and how many of you have an aftermarket floor mat on top of it?

I'm curious because the previous owner of my Z had aftermarket black plastic mats in it when I bought it which seems to have preserved my mats to nearly brand new condition. I decided to take them out but I'm already seeing noticeable wear where my heels are when driving.

I'm debating putting the plastic ones back in but I love the look of the OEM mats with the Z logo on them. What are you guys doing?

You are going TOO far here. Mats to protect carpet. Mats on top to protect mats.

OEM mats are washable. They will last 20,000 miles with proper care.

The new Z mats have a plastic/vinyl heel patch in them, much more durable than the original mats than came in my 03. Also mats are only $60 , and took me over 100k before i swapped them out.

OEM mats should last you a lot longer than 20k miles.

I went with NISMO mats.My OEM'S still looked at 60k+ miles...a little heel wear.
The NISMOS have a heel pad.The white text can get dirty...They are a bit pricey...quality&fit is great!

I have the NISMO's as well, they don't seem to hold up as well as the OEM's and the material is also thinner but I am willing to put up with it.

As said, they only cost around 60.00. No need putting any plastic on it

I use the OEMs. I have an '03 with 64k on it and the mats look totally fine. I don't even have any noticeable heel wear.

I've got the OEM mats. I've washed them each once. The only real wear I notice is a little discoloration on the "Z" on the drivers side. It's maybe a bit OCD to stress over their condition. If someone gets in my car and says "damn, that floor mat is a little worn" I'd reconsider my choice in friends, not floormats.
