cut fender/sharp edge..what product/size to use 2 cover
Title pretty much says it all..
this is such a seemingly stupid item, but i cant find anyone who makes something simple in a size i think i would need.
I have OEM fenders that had the outer edge lip cut off, and it looks NASTY sharp.. aside from just some cheapo door edge guard, is there a slim and very low profile and very robust and protective sheet metal edge guard i can use on that edge before i reinstall my VS overfenders on the front?
A link would be awesome, but if not a part or brand name and a specific size (1/16,3/32.. mm?? dunno) would be much appreciated..
i need to order up about 10 feet of it very quickly.. because Ive somehow convinced myself my car is actually going to get finished at this shop somehow.

im not sure if you have the skill but remaking the lip would be a simple enough task eastwood makes a fender finishing kit that would make this pretty easy and would give a nice rounded edge where the metal is folded. just take some tin snips to make some inital small snips, only go about half of what you want the lip to be(so if your going to fold half an inch of material for the lip make the snip no longer then a quarter inch) and use the kit they sell to slowly fold the metal over on each fender while using the heat gun to soften the paint. kit is like 75 bucks if i remember correctly and this would be the correct way to do it anyway.

When I bought my motorcycle windshield it came with a thin rubber strip for the top to prevent a sharp edge on the plastic. It is a very tight fit and does not move. Not sure how that helps or where to get any but its an idea. maybe go to a glass/plexiglass place and see that kind of edge protectors they use.

Check out McMaster Carr, they might have something. I would grind it as smooth as possible before you add anything.
