Default Black housing conversion + HID system = BIG PROBLEM (Posted Pics)

I just had a black housing conversion from Steve (Android123) and here are some pictures of what my HIDs look like on the road at night.

What happened!?

I can't contact him due to him being out of the country at the moment. . . but I was assuming they are mis-aimed? I have the Enthauist model that came with the HID System.

This is so sad. . I hope someone can help me as to what I can do about this!

I hope someone knows what this could be!

Respectfully,
Christopher

not pointing fingers; but Id assume it was just a mistake on the reinstall. things didnt go back in quite right and need to be adjusted. I cant really help you reaim them; as I havent done that. but it should be as easy as turning a few screws till they are aiming the way they should.

Im assuming the clear lens doesnt show any signs of warping or anything so the actual housing isnt damaged. that just leaves the alignment.

:-) Thanks Ares. I can take all the blame on the bad re-install if that is what it may be. Everything went back in just fine. . . I just had a feeling they had to be re-aimed.

I wanted to get as much feedback as I could before I go in and take some things apart to get to that screw to turn to adjust the vertical aim. I have no idea how to (or if you can) adjust the aim horizontally.

All comments / suggestions are welcome! I need all the help I can get at this point.

I am not sure an aiming problem would cause the light and dark issues as shown in your pics. I almost looks like something is on the bulb or reflector causing a mottled effect of light and dark. This is just a guess though. Hope you find the problem and get it corrected easily. Good luck with it Webiteks.

ouch... one reason why I will be doing this myself, that way if something goes wrong I know who the hell to blame.

I checked the lens and cannot tell if it is something that is on it or not. . . everything looks fine. I checked the bulb and the bulb looks fine as well. What my idea was is that maybe the bulb is aimed too high or too low and is not going completely through the projector? Just a thought.

I e-mailed Steve (Android123) but haven't gotten an e-mail back yet. This is so horrible! I'm going to take apart my wheel well and look behind the headlights to see what type of adjsuting I can do.

Hopefully if it is something wrong with the headlight itself (or lens) - that Steve will help compensate for the damage? I dunno. . . Lets hope.

Maybe I'll have great luck and it is just the aiming. . . . I'll keep everyone posted late tommorow night as to what I find out.

Respectfully,
Christopher

Why did you change the factory HIDs?

i don't mean to be insensitive but did it ever occur to anyone that the mirror coating you painted black might serve some reflective purpose? Much as the mirror finish on your ordinary household flashlight does? i really doubt it was a mirrored finish just for looks.

That really sucks. I don't have that problem with my housing. I hope you can fix it. When you do fix it, let us know how you fix it.

I didn't change out the factory HIDs. . . . . I still have the same ones in that came with the car.

As for the black housing. . . There are still quite a bit of chrome reflective parts in it. I know for sure that that isn't the problem becuase the right headlight is illumating on the road just how it is supposed to. . . it's just the left one that is providing all of those strange lines on the road.

Steve (android123) did the exact same housing conversion on his, and didn't run into this problem. . . so I'm not sure what is going on just yet.

I will be sure to keep this thread updated as to what I had to do to fix it (hopefully it gets fixed). I will be working on it tommorow.

Anyone out there run into this problem, or know anyone who has ?
