Default Bumper material quality - Extreme Dimensions

so i searched. and read very minimal information. im sure plenty of people on these forums have and use the duraflex bumpers from extreme dimensions. what im wondering is how has it held up for you. i want a v2 front bumper and really dont wanna spend 2 much. but i also dont want complete crap. ive seen the video where it flexes n blah blah blah. i solo 2 and an occasional road coarse. though the car isnt my daily anymore it still has to hold up to road conditions as my car is fairly low. so if you own a duraflex kit how have you enjoyed it or hated it? how was the fitment. quality? how long have you had it? have you tracked the car/autox with it. hit a parking stop like in the video? overall how has it been for you. thanks in advance. also. if they do suck. what is a good alternative around the same price. is the VIS kit better? worse?

i have searched. and have not gotten the answers im looking for. i wanted to ask people who OWN this kit and have them on their vehicles how they have liked it. as well as others with different kits. shine/vis etc. i know shine is the prefered kit but for the extra money i might aswell just put my name on the poly list for 440 shipped.

If you solo and road course you don't need to buy a fiberglass bumper. As soon as you hit something it's gonna go Chernobyl and blow apart. Since you want V2 you need to look into the new urethane V2 bumper BAUSauto has just made. Being urethane it will hold up 100000000x better than a fiberglass bumper.

They are a vendor here and just got their first prototype V2 complete.

A couple months back I bought the full v2 kit through a vendor here for the Extreme Dimension kit. The kit arrived and neither the side skirts or rear add-ons fit at all. The skirts 1-2" short on both sides, rear add-ons would need to be reshaped because they didnt match the curve of the bumper or have enough flex. Front bumper needed lots of shaving in some spots and fiberglass added in others. Called the vendor and got it refunded under manufacture defect and ordered the Shine kit the same day. Absolutely night and day difference in the two. I found out why you hear nothing but good things about their parts, the fitment is outstanding and if a piece doesnt fit they usually ship you out a new one immediately. The extra couple hundred bucks is worth it. You can check out the pics in my profile to see the Shine kit installed.

well if i tend to catch a cone its usually the rear tires that hit it but its deff something i wouldnt wanna test out. 440 shipped for a well fitting urethane kit compared to almost that price for fiberglass it isnt even a option. i hear poly makes paint adhersion a lil bit of a problem or softer. any thoughts on this?

Urethane is going to be more forgiving than hard fiberglass if you do hit something. Properly prepped you shouldn't have paint issues with a good shop.

people like you on these forums make me lol literally. sorry i dont suck mod dick ...if this thread is out of line he would have closed it. and if it is by all means close it. if u dont enjoy the topic and dont have anything useful to contribute kinda like your oh so "funny" post. then why enter this thread or say anything at all? do you feel cool now? im glad u got your fix now if you dont wanna contribute something useful, grow up n leave :-). i wanted a answer and have a job and a home which require more attention then searching threw 40 pages on a forum; not to mention i wanted a broader crowd not just people with v2 bumpers which is what that thread is all about.i did search n did not find definitive answers all in 1 location. thanks to those who are on topic and if anyone else has had any experience with any of these parts please feel free to contribute.

I got only my V2 front bumper from Extreme Dimensions. I bought it along with a friend. Both bumpers fit almost like OEMs. No complaints. The paintshop didnt even have to mod anything to get it fitted. The bumper's pretty tough too as my office underground parking lot is steep and my bumper would always touch the ground and bend a bit.

But yea I heard some bad reviews with regards to their sides and rear add-ons.
