Default Auto shop question

i went to William's auto body out here in San Mateo, CA because i am looking into getting my rear passenger side panel redone because the car was in a little fender bender before i bought it and when i got my fender rolled the bondo cracked. so to get to the point, William said it would cost 2500 to get the panel redone which includes cutting out of the old panel and the insert of the new one. let me know wut you guys think. is it worth is?

Depending on how bad it was hit it would be wise to replace the quarter panel. Now since there was prior damage that was fixed before it is wise to replace the panel since most collision techs will not fix a damaged area that has a prior fix to it without redoing the entire filler work. 2500 sounds right for replacing a quarter and blending the paint in

yeah i understand what ur saying. its just i took it to this other place that said that they would do it for 500 but that is to just strip off the existing bondo and rebondo it and paint it. this is also a place that fixed up my moms 2007 audi a4 that got hit and it looks like nothing ever happened to the car. im just debating because i know i want to eventually pull my fenders and i would definitely need that new panel to do so. but 2500 is a bunch to drop :/
