Has anyone had to fix their minor scuffed/scraped front bumper and sideskirts? I'm wondering how would be the best, most cost-effective way to get them back to tip-top shape.

Has anyone paid to have the entire lip sections re-sprayed? How much did it run?

Has anyone tried to vinyl the lip sections - maybe carbon fiber?

Any other suggestions?

Are the body parts urethane?Fiberglass...?
Depending on the extent of the damage,there are different fixes.

 

It's actually for the stock lip kit on a 2008 Nismo Z. I had originally put this in the Nismo Z section because I thought some of them could have experienced the same issues.

 

I sincerely doubt you have the OEM Nismo lip kit for that car... probably the rarest lip kit out there. You might want to post pics... sounds to me like aftermarket equipment.

 

I'm surprised that you would have a lip kit while having a Nismo front bumper?
Are we talking OEM 'V3' Nismo?
Or like... Nismo V1 lip on a 2008?

 

I think he's just talking about the lower sections of the Nismo front bumper and sides, where it is painted that dark grey color.

 

If original,I'd sure keep it original...no CF wrap etc. on a Nismo.
Again,depending how "minor" the scuffs are and how noticeable they are.
would dictate the fix.Seems if the damage was near the road,the fix
could be done will some filler and touch up with a custom mix color.The
Nismo parts are indeed a dark grey/lower gloss color.

there are deep scrapes in one area on the front bumper in particular. In my opinion I would need to be sanded down,patched up, and reprayed. I was just wondering if anyone else has done it or had any other suggestions worth noting.

 

Just get it resprayed k11...

It's gonna get scraped no matter what. You could spray extra
Clear over it, but you'd be delaying the inevitable.

 

Ok that makes a hell of a lot more sense. Like Lgear pointed out though, your just going to scratch it up unless it's not a daily driver.

 

I originally had this thread in the nismo section, which would have made my question more clear, but it was moved! Haha. I understand its going to be scratched up, but I'm just considering patching up a bad curbing from previous owner.
