Default Picture ! - 4300k HID STOCK VS 8000k HID Replacement bulb (HUGE DIFFRENCE)

I dont care much for the WHOLE road lighting effect that people sposally claim the 4300k is better for, It's more of a looks type of thing but i find the 8000k Brighter !

what do you have in your Z !

I prefer the look of natural looking light. Honestly i think the higher the temp the worse it looks. And add the fact of decreased functionality. Its a lose lose situation.

well, the 8k IS brighter, but it's putting less light on the road. I opted for 6k though and I really think it's the best middle ground.

Agreed, if I had to choose, 6k would be the highest I'd go.

Difficult to duplicate color from source to different computers screens. But I like the one on the left.

Yup. One day he will mature and realize people think it's another riced out Honda coming at them.

I must agree with everybody that 6K is as bright as I would go, but I wouldn't go 6K unless my factory bulb needs to be changed.

I just don't get it?
Whats with the big emphasis on the lighting stuff?
Whenever I SEE some type of out-of-norm lights comin at
me on the road(especially colored),I'm thinking its gonna be
from some riced out car.I know this stuff costs big bucks.
Also,the complete makeovers,if done wrong,can really screw
up your car.But IMO,this stuff is no different than a guy buying
or painting his Z yellow. It means,"look at me".

8000k is too blue and not enough light. i went with 6000K and i'm purely happy with it.

this is the win comment and is 100% sound.

8k is not actually brighter.. you will be able to see less.. unless you gauge all your driving lighting by what a garge door looks like 2 feet in front of your car.
Looks do matter.. sure.

So buy 6k.

Seems like you already heard of this before you bought them and did so anyways, but telling the forum members youve bought them, installed them and report back that they are brighter is bad advice.. becuase they dont illuminate the road more at all.

Enjoy your fancy new color and your compromised night vision.

i agree w this as well.. nothing worse than a big Chevy truck w purple 12k HIds strapped into a non projector housing that blinds you yet gives him zero lighting on the road.. its like the clear corners craze of 1998 all over again.

upgraded lighting is tough to make look oem and classy.

Stick to 5000k for all white LEDs, and 6k MAX for headlight bulbs and youll be set.

If you really want bright and fancy looking, sti-r lens mod is the absolutel hands down winner.

I run a 6k HID, sti-R lens and all 5000k leds.. cant wait to fire em up.

It's all for looks... I dont mind the difference in lighting
this post was to show you the difference.

Its just a replacement bulb.. no harm was done
and
It's all about taking the stock look and making it look better... atleast i dont have some "ricer halo headlights with YELLOW fog lights"

The 8000k gives a NEWER look to my 05 Z and i like it

That looks stupid. The Intense area in the middle of the beam is weaker even at that distance. On a rainy night that color will wash out right into the pavement.

You will look "cool" though when you hit a tree at night.
