Question Headlight question

Hey all
I'm a bit confused on the headlight options there seem to be out there. I have 2005 roadster and need to replace my headlights, hit a deer and broke them both, the housing is cracked on one of them for sure and the mounting brackets on the other is broken. So I'm wondering what way should/can I go?

Is it somewhat easy to repair the housing and then replace the bulbs in it?

What differences are there from the 05 hid to the 06 hid?

Thanks for the help everyone.
Billy

Well, the 06 and up ones look cooler and shine brighter, u could pick up a set of06 housings for 704 on eBay, u can use ur same 05 hid setup with dif bulbs, the other dif is that the 06 and up high and low beams are in the same bulb, replacing the housings with the 05 version housing is cheaper... gl

you must be speaking about the 05 Anniversary edition as it relates to the 06 rev up. But most folk ask more about the rev up motor than the HIDs.

Do you plan on keeping your Z? If you are, go for the 06+ bixenon headlights. They are tons better than 03-05. If you don't plan on keeping the Z for much longer, just find any OEM 03-05 style headlights. They are cheap fixes and don't require modding obviously, whereas the 06+ (I think) require additional modification to fit.

if it were me i wouldn't have the time or patience to repair an 05 headlamp. i would just upgrade to the brighter and superior 06 bixenons.
