Default Kevlar wrapped Nismo Replica front lip

I posted part of this is the Media Share "build thread" but figured I would get some opinions on it out here for people actually looking at interior/exterior items:

It cured over night last night, but this is the last shot before leaving for work this morning:

test fit with 1 layer of epoxy and not fully sanded/trimmed:

some close up shots:

I am painting the remaining black portion Brickyard to give some flow. Let me know what you think.

Wrap job looks really good, but I don't think the Kevlar's color goes well with the brickyard in my opinion, looks a bit out of place. Maybe better pics would help.

pictures were done with good ol' camera phone. I'll update with a full photoshoot once it's complete. I went with kevlar because I didn't like the look of the carbon fiber with the brickyard color. All of the kevlar stuff inside is going to be redone as well. I'm hoping to have it finished this Saturday and get a little photoshoot ready Sunday.

Look's pretty cool, I'm just not a fan of this lip though.

It's for a learning experience (which is why I bought the cheap lip)

Eventually, I want to get the Nismo V2 front bumper and kevlar the front lip of the actual bumper. We'll see how this turns out as well as the rest of the kevlar pieces.

In my opinion if done right kevlar looks killer, and you seem to be on the right track. Keep up the good work man!

Good execution and kudos for innovation... but I'd do CF on Brickyard IMHO.

I'd love to somehow have that wrap integrated into my V2 bumper. Then it would be bullet proof!

Maybe I should drive the Z down there and see what we can do with the bumper.

Do you have a link to the build thread?

Great job.Props on this project.

IMO,the Kevlar looks awful with the brickyard.
Lets face it,if you stopped 50 people at random, they would
not have a clue what Kevlar is.Its very, very stong.
But looks terrible.
Its your car...

There seems to be a general agreement that CF goes with Brickyard, but I put the lip on the car for the night last night to make sure there weren't any other "wind" issues (being a cheap lip in general) and I had tons of compliments on it and it still looks like crap at this stage.

I see you found the build thread. lol I have had a few requests to do other cars/parts, but until I perfect it to show quality, I don't want to mess up someone's baby.

I like the gold kevlar with the Brickyard. Once all of the pieces are done, I think it will make a huge difference, but I probably won't have that accomplished for another 3-4 months.

i do see the potential there. coloring on the picture with it on the car might be throwing it off for most people.
picture in good light with a proper camera will make a difference i think.
I am currently working on a rear diffuser and was thinking of wrapping in kevlar or some other pattern from the norm.
subd for final outcome

Vex is right. The picture makes it look greenish.

Keep it up, OP. I think it's going to look sick.

Well, I have a photo shoot set up for this Sunday, with or with out some models, I don't know yet. The 3 girls I want for it have plans for Sunday Funday! hahaha

I just got back from the Paint Shot. I'll have my paint tomorrow. They have to mix it over night. Gives me time to prep!

Well, today's photoshoot dropped through as 1 girl had to stay late at work and the other was "modeling" til 4 am this morning. Then the photographer's wife said, "you've been out all weekend. You're staying home tonight..." So yeah, I shot my own pictures and here we go. I actually am not as fond of the lip as I was hoping. The Nismo replica lip never really clicked with me before, and now it's on my damn car. Watch the classifieds because it will be for sale in the future. hahaha

FINISHED PRODUCT:

Very nice work, did you vacuum bag or just brushed the resin on?

i like the combo but any plans on kevlar elsewhere to tie it together.
now you need more low & spacers (or better offset wheels)
