Default How much for a custom bodykit?

I have some odd dreams/desires for my Z. I am fairly certain there does not exist a bodykit or combination of kits/pieces to make it look as I would like it to look.

What would be a good rough base estimate for having a full body kit fabricated?

Where would I go to work with someone on getting the design from my head and a bunch of 'sorta like this' pics, into an actual design? (i.e. specific recommendations for online entities or any local to me in Colorado - not just a generic 'bodyshop' answer please)

It will be a while before I can even get started, but I want to know if I should bother putting any effort into it, or if it will be forever beyond my (reasonable) grasp...

Figure design, make molds and fill:

Front bumper
Rear bumper

The costs involved are just not worth the effort. You'd be better off buying another car
that LOOKS like what you want or,with all the body kits out there, modify one to meet your needs.

Well, the idea I have is mostly 350Z, but with a lot of bits and pieces from other cars (RX7, Crossfire, Z3, Carerra, etc.) - nd I've been browsing kits, but not finding anything close to what I want.

At those prices, though... it is, as I figured, out of bounds for now.

I'd venture to say whatever you think you want isn't that special.

The z has been worked over far past what I expected in 2003.

I do play video games, rarely including some racing style games.

I have also spent years of my life on the track, autocrossing, and dragging cars.

I could strip down and rebuild a 240 or 280 with no help, just using basic tools (after burning through a dozen of them on and off the track over the years, I better be able to, lol)...

What I want to do with my car is something appropriate to this forum, being exterior modifications to a 350z. If you don't think it would look good, you're welcome to your opinion.

But if you come in with nothing constructive and just sling insults, I suppose you just show yourself to be one of the majority of the denizens of the internet with more ignorance than tact. I'd prefer to not hear from such people, but as it can't be helped... I get through the annoyance by writing nice little posts such as this.

No matter how many others might have done what I want or similar - if I get what I want, it is always *special* lol.

As far as exclusivity or lack thereof, I've been searching for body kits and pieces which I might could make work, and haven't yet found anything...

Who's being insulting? Grow a pair of ***** young man, your ideas would require a deep pocket. If you don't have that, then this is a dreamer thread. If you want anyone to take this serious do you have any drawings of your idea? Have you looked into the total hours of labor that this would need to complete?

I understand your little post, yet I don't appreciate your inability to understand how all this works...even with all your mechanical experience!

op, with gems like these how do you expect anyone to take you serious on here?

The estimates people are saying are very very high. I am willing to bet you can get a custom kit made for 10k + paint.

A) Your post, even if not intended to be insulting, was so. And in no way constructive to the thread. As to me 'growing a pair of *****' and/or 'being a young man' - you are being insulting right there. From perusing your facebook page, I can safely say you are younger than I am (by nearly a decade)... How can a guy not even in his 30s presume to call anyone online 'young man'? Yet more display of having a lot more ignorance than tact!

B) I have deeper pockets than some, shallower than others. While I do own a few businesses, I am not yet 'wealthy'. No matter how deep my pockets, I don't intend to budget near as much for this car as seems to be the general answer I got here. BUT! That really has no bearing on your reply to my question, however. What does my ability to afford anything (or not) have to do with 'keeping all that in video games'?

C) As yet, I don't have drawings. I do have images of bodyparts I like, I also have some photoshop work of my own Z. However that is irrelevant to the general query I posted. I specifically asked for a generalization of the base costs and potential names of such shops that are known to do good work. Im not yet looking to have my dream created, but am instead looking for information on something I don't know a lot about.

In short, if you can't/won't constructively contribute... please stop trolling my thread.

As to those gems... I know a lot about some things, and next to nothing about others, just like everyone else. I see nothing in any of my posts that marks me as someone not to be taken seriously. If you feel otherwise, please enlighten me as to what and why...

Seriously, I'm not pissed, pouting, or trying to prove how cool I am, etc.; but if I'm representing myself as something less than what I am... I'd like to know it (and how/why).

This seems like a good place to ask...

Does anyone know of a good body shop in the southeast that can do a custom swap for me? I want to use parts from all different cars and put them together into one engine, but I only want to use parts from quality cars like Lamborghinis, Porsches, Camrys, and Ducatis. I have a good image of what it would look like in my head, I just need a machine shop to glue all the parts together. If you don't like my idea, this is America and you can geeeeet ouuuuttt. Please help.

hit up STRAFE AKA CONCEPT AUTOMOTIVE. You would get along with the owners and probably get an amazing price out of this world...
