Default 06+ Fender Lining Superior to 03-05?

I'm on the market potentially for a new undershroud and fender liners because mine are getting shred up and deteriorating due to getting ripped apart by the wheels and because I take it off and put it back on so many dang times.

That's when I was looking at the zspeed site and found these fender liners:
http://www.zspeedperformance.com/Nis...3844-cf40a.htm

It reads
These are the upgraded 06+ 350Z inner fender liners which fit better and less chance of coming loose and getting torn up by the tires.

Fit all 03-09 350Z.
But from my knowledge, 03-05 and 06+ fender liners are not interchangable... and I never heard of this "upgrade". Are they lying to me?

Also a question about the zspeed undershroud:

You see those bolts at the front of the car? I thought those were originally the plastic push clips? How can it bolt on if there's nothing for it to screw into?

Don't know about the fender liners, but those bolts have always been bolts, not plastic clips. The OEM shroud only has one plastic clip (or rivet), right smack in its middle, but no others. I bought one of the prototype undershrouds, and it's the some of the best money I've spent on my '08. Great design, durable, and perfect fit.

Shroud has bolts all around the edges and a single plastic clip/pin in the center.

no both things use screws/bolts, and maybe a clip on the fender. They are not tricking you, many people have purchased the undershround from z1

Nonetheless, they state it's an OEM part so you're basically buying 06+ liners.

That's what I'm wondering. Are 06+ fender liners actually an improvement over 03-05's?

Just buy the rare JDM piece from OC Infiniti on eBay. Better all around product.

Here's a better link, but I'm not sure how it's a better piece than the one from Z1:

they supply you with hardware that gives the bolts the ability to attach to the plastic part of the bumper and has a threaded part the bolts attach too.
very similar to the one on left

my z speed undershroud was the first and best thing i have bought for my car

Better design. Stronger and better quality. Z Speed doesn't make them that way because it would cost them more to machine and they have said so themselves.

That's a really non-specific reply. What does the Z-Speed piece not do that the other does better? Neither is meant as an off-road stone guard, and the Z-Speed is more than adequately durable, and the fit is perfect. Why spend more?

To answer your question OP, depending on if you don't already have an 2006+ and are wanting to run an 2006+ front bumper than upgrading to the newer fender lining will be helpful

I wouldn't say it is an upgrade if you don't have a 2006+ front bumper to match it with

+1, especially if you tag something with your front bumper and damage the undershroud. You can easily/cheaply replace just the front section.
