Thinking about getting 8000k HIDs. Need Input Please.
Hey I'm thinking about getting these HIDs for my Z.
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/8000K-D2C-D2S...item4d0136a51e
As far as I understand, since I have the touring model with the stock 4.3k HIDs, I only need to buy the bulbs and replace them with the stock bulbs right? Or do I still need the full kit.. Some input would be appreciated.
Also, is there a difference between D2C, D2S, and D2R lights? And if so what would be best for my situation..
Thanks

You only need to swap the bulbs. I recommend 6k, as do a lot of members on here, 8k is too blue for me. Unless you are young, and want that jdm tuner ricer look.
Yes there are differences in the bulbs. If you searched, you would know the answer, this has been discussed NUMEROUS times. I wish I could help you, but I don't want to give you false information...but, i believe d2s is for the 06+ headlights, and d2r is for the 03-05 years. I could be switching them around. GL

If you use the cheap China bulbs, their 8000k is a lot more blue and ricey.
If you get some legit Japanese bulbs, the 8000k is not a tinted bulb, but the temp is actually 8000k that is more white/crystal sky blue. Also you won't run the risk of getting bad bulbs that go out after a few weeks/months.
