Default Red Headlights yes? no? redo?

ok so ive been playing around with headlights and for my z being red i wanted to red housing instead of black or stock. I tried it and this is where im at so far.[/IMG]

IDK im thinking im going to finish up with that silver part black, or should i just go all out red? i will install it on the car in a few days after it gets finished to c if i like the look. Also imagine it on a red z with a black hood. I have the hood in the garage i just havent put it on because i can not decide what i want to do yet lol.

You do realize that now your high beams are going to be completely useless since you painted over the reflector portion, right?

You do NOT want to paint over the reflector area on the 03-05 lights. It is 100% needed for the light output to be useful. The 06+ lights use an upgraded projector for both high and low beams and that's why it is safe to paint them.

Agree. I would be curious if and how the color of the housing affects the light on the road.

It looks decent, even though I'm not a fan of red.

But, I'd rather have functionality over form with those much needed reflectors.

I would pass on it. Functionality is more important in the situation.

It doesn't look "real bad" but it does need some contrasting color. Maybe had you left the reflectors alone, or maybe throw a little black or whatever your secondary color is that you're going with. It's just gonna be ALOT of red. Theres a such thing as too much. Other than that, atleast you're being creative.

too much red on red. Try blacking out the silver part, i think that will make it look less bland.
