Default Paint Question

I made the mistake of letting my brother drive my car one morning and it came back with part of the front bumper gone. I have yet to get an estimate but what I was wondering is if anyone can give any personal experience as to how much they've gotten their Z painted for in the Los Angeles/Long Beach/Orange County area? Mine is currently the pearl white color and I'm not really into that color so I was thinking of having the entire car re-painted white while the body gets repaired.

I'm just trying to get an idea of what it might cost. I'd like to have it all done in one shot if I can afford it instead of just having a new bumper put on and then waiting around to have it painted later.

Entire repaint done right costed a friend $3800. With a standard paint it might be like $3000.

A bumper repainted without body work and blended would be about $400. Probably $500 with some work.

Realistically you should expect to pay at least $4,500

Good luck matching PPW 100% if you just repaint the front bumper. Make sure you have a reputable shop paint multiple samples first to test.

Also, 3500-4500 for a good (full) paint job.

4000-5000 sounds about right. that's how much some customers of mine have paid.

It depends on the kind of quality you're looking for. 4-5K, as stated above, is a fair price for a good quality paint job that will last. You can of course find someone to respray the whole car for much less money, but the paint, prep, etc. will not be as good.

Bodywork is one of those things where you get what you pay for.

Thanks for all the input! I was assuming between $4-5k but just wanted to see what others have paid. Looks like I have some $ saving to do.
