I recently bought a set of 06+ headlights with some broken tabs and a scratched d/s lense.
I was wondering if any of you guys have tried or know if you can put the internals inside of the 03 housings successfully.

No, it cannot. I tried it with some scrap housings and center section of the plastic housing where the lens is mounted is completely different.

 

youre not asking the question clearly.. what is your final intention.. to use your 03 "housings" so that you can have good tabs and lenses?

First the tabs by hand, they do very little structurally.. if you can cut off the tabs from your other lights and swap them over w jb weld or a steel l bracket, they will be good to go.

Also, the lenses from any 03 headlight WILL fit 06 chrome internals as well as fit ON your 06 headlight bodies.. i ahve a thread explaing it all in detail.

Basically, if the only reason you feel you want to NOT use your 06 guts and backside is that the tabs are broken, like i said, that can easily be fixed.


Again, the 03 lenses WILL fit perfectly and the innards WILL screw into the lens perfectly as well.. You just cant use the 03 black housing etc to mount that projector into etc.

what parts do you need? i got some stuff

 

I want to put the 06 internals in the 03 housings so I have all of the tabs present.And I need a good lense d/s.Basically take everything but the housing and lense and put it inside an 03+ housing
If anyone has good 06+ housings or lenses please lmk.EVEN if the very top tab is broken I may wan it.
