^ The true way for a shaved plug is the hole is welded over, grinded, sanded, prepped and painted. No plug is used at all. Like there never was a wiper or hole in the first place. The same way somebody shaves the door handles or any other type of shaved body work. Costs more money, but it is the only true shaved look.

So the top of a small, round, paint matched plug is just as bad as that eye sore rear wiper in your eyes?

I didn't say that at all....I said a true wiper delete would be shaved and smooth like it was never there in the first place. Instead, I see a raised plug that might be close to the color and think to myself "well that is where the wiper was taken off and a plug was installed in it's place".

It's like taking the hamburger emblem off the hatch and putting plugs in the holes instead of filling them in. It works, but is it smooth, shaved, and flawless.....no.

I have my wiper and I never notice it unless I use it or wash the rear window.

..implies that the delete with a plug is no better than the wiper.

Thanks Lee, I will definitely consider that once I have more of the necessary mods completed.

Not sure if you are trolling now or you just didn't read my whole response.....Lets use pictures to see what looks better.

Clean Shave with no hole

Not a shave...hole plugged and seen

Draws attention to the wiper hole

What's this? Where did it go?

Is there a "rear wiper delete mod completed" delete-thread option?

Seems like a pretty easy mod. Thanks for the pics, definitely motivating knowing it is relatively easy as well as inexpensive.

Kind of a zombie thread, but the rear wiper delete is mega clean vs. the wiper. I used a black sink plug, no leaking issues still over a year later!

Rattle canned mine since its SB and pretty easy to match. Took two tries to get the paint and clear coat perfectly done with out any dust and smooth as glass.

No, plz don't do this mod. Really, plug the wiper with a sink plug?

Let me guess, there is a tow hook on the front of your daily driver.

You'd better have some serious horsepower to pull off this mod. I'd better be worried about wind or you're just a rube/poseur.
