Thumbs up Check out my Door Handles(PICS)

Painted them Gunmetal to match my wheels. I debated for awhile whether to do them in Daytona Blue or Gunmetal. I'm glad I went this route. Hard to see the finish in some pics, damn SoCal sun .

Ya, I need to take some pics when it's not so sunny. The glare really washes out the finish. A friend painted them for me at his shop. Yes, they're clearcoated.

any comments on durability?

I know you just got them; but that was the only catch, he said he couldnt gaurentee how the paint would last on such a "used" surface. he's done it before where it worked fine forever; and othertimes it cracked alot.

The paint used was DBC based for durability. The handles were sanded and prepped prior to painting. Clearoated afterwards.

You Z looks... *amazing*

Nice job. All you really seem to need now is some kind of front lip. Veil v1 or something.

That looks so sweet! I'm thinking of gun metal wheels and if I do that, I'm certain I want to do what you did with those door handles. Very nice job!

Thanks. I actually thought of painting them Daytona Blue, but then it reminded me of how people paint their windshield wipers white, to match their white car.

Since the handles are a big part of the Z's characteristics, I didn't want to drown them out all together by painting them to match the car. I'm glad I did this route. It ties in with the look I'm going for, yet still stands out in a subtle way.
