Are you using a fixed bucket seat? Would be curious to see what you've upgraded to. My Z is currently my DD, so comfort takes more of a priority over anything else (not to say that safety isn't of high importance).

Sparco changed the nomenclature of their race buckets around a couple of times... the most recent naming of the one that i have is Evo II.

the fixed bucket was way more support than the adjustable OEM.

Non fixed Monza, I tried sitting in several different Sparcos before buying. Find a local reseller and test them out first. The stock seats hurt my back in any position. I'd get any of the new R700 street seats, or discontinued Milanos, those are comfy.

I have noticed that ever since I started driving with a more upright position I no longer have any discomfort.

I have fabric seats and have often wondered if more comfort would be achieved by going with leather. Been toying with the idea of black leather with black suede inserts like the BRZ's. Leatherseats.com can do this for a reasonable price.

The simple answer is no...

Leather will not help.

The simple answer is this thread is from 2012.

Just like this one was from 2010: https://my350z.com/forum/exterior-an...03-350z-2.html

Congrats.

Since it's been resurrected, might as well post.

04 with factory leather seats. Went 18 hours straight through (stopping every 250 miles or so for fuel and **** break). No back or *** problems at all.

Something I have not seen mentioned, remove your wallet out of your back pocket! If I know I will be driving for over 30 minutes, my wallet goes into the center console, I also try to keep my wallet as thin as possible. ( buying Z parts helps with that lol )

2003 Z with Heated Leather Seats here. Longest single drive was 9 hours, was comfy the entire way.

Roflmao. True

Hey I sat in one of those Recaro SPG a few months and it was damn comfortable. IMO better than some Sparco's I've tried, like the EVO.
The Recaro seems to have a great back support and the the kidney supports keep you really tucked in. Foams are super comfy too. They're like lightyears way better than the leather OEM.

I'm also going to check out the Recaro Furious sometime this week. I hope the quality is still there, being their entry level bucket seat.

In the last two months I did an NC-NY-NC drive and an NC-FL-NC drive. Me and my wife went. Seats were OK. My only gripes were the tire noise (not feathering) and my knee which have nothing to do with the car. It's a decent long distance cruiser.
