Default Aerosync Bumper License Plate

For those who have the bumper, where are you mounting your front license plates?
I'm test fitting/drilling tomorrow and I need to know where I'm gonna put the license plate.
I thought I'd just be able to drill into that small plate in the grill, but it looks a little too small to mount a license plate to.
I don't really want to drill into the bumper just for a license plate either.
Any suggestions?

Stillen license plate bracket, bolts to your tow hook, will have to pop/cut out that center square in your grill. Not sure how the aerosync is made, it might already be made in a way you can push it out.

Just don't remove that center rectangular section completely. It's structurally supporting the horizontal "bar" so that it doesn't droop.

I bought a plate adapter from Courtesy Parts called a ZEE bracket.

Basically you drill out those two circular bumps in the center section of the bumper, and screw in two aluminum spacers with backing plates, which then bolt to a rectangular piece that the license plate mounts on.

I dont have any close up pics, but here is a link to another forum:

Unfortunately they dont sell them anymore, but I am sure you can buy all of the parts from a hardware store for like $15 and make your own.

Here is a pic of the front of mine, fairly clean and at least the cops wont bug you

BTW - the stillen wont work without modification to your aluminum crash bar. The bolt hole on the bar sits higher up than the opening in the bumper. You would basically have to cut off the bracket from the bar, and have some aluminum stock welded in between to drop the threaded hole down so that you have access to it.

I didnt bother - figured I would just take off the bumper if I needed a tow. That would keep the bumper from getting mangled on the wrecker's ramp anyway.

I'm thinking of buying some mesh to put in the grill, and the zip tie the plate onto that mesh from behind. Like this

Edit: I just did a test fit to see if it would work, and it seems that the V2 has a taller grill and a smaller bar across because it didn't work for me. Back to sq. 1

I may be getting the Aerosync before moving to LA. Would this be legal? They make you remove clear license plate covers, here in Phoenix. I would think they'd ticket you for it being behind a mesh grill too...?

Not sure if it's legal.

I ended up just using loctite double sided sticky tape to put the plate on.
Hasn't even thought about coming off yet after 6 months

This is a much simpler and cost effective way. Auto Zone has these for about $8.

You drill on the bottom of the bumper where it cant be seen and mount your plate. Best part is you can angle it as well for maximum aero dynamics :P
I want to get one for my Z but I think the bumper was already drilled into.

Those rust real quick, I have them on my cars. Best to sand it down, primer and paint over every piece.
