Well here's the final price.... If we get six total cars the price
complete would be $6,000.00... We need six so let me know I have till monday to call mathew at newport

 

so the targe top will have just one top cover right?

not like T-Top like 300zx...?

 

right just one cover from the windshield to the hatch...

 

I want to see pics of it on the Z first (it's still a while before I get the Z anyway). I can't have it leaking air or taking to long to take the top off or put it on. I have been waiting a long time to see someone with a Z actually try to accomplish this. Keep us updated...

Yeah i've seen photoshops, but I want to see the real thing.

 

The problem is guys i need 5 people to get this done... The only way to see one is when we do it...

Perhaps you should try convincing the shop that getting yours (or any 1) done first for a real nice price would be a great way to entice other Z owners into getting the same work done. I'm sure lots of people would be much more interested in the targa top (i would love having this) if they could see what the finished project would look like and what effects it would have on the car.

Glass roof is not possible and I already tried but the only way i can get a great price is multiple cars..

Did the deal fall through or what? I don't see why you couldn't have done it on your own, and tell them to give some money back if they get a certain amount of customers after that, it seems like you just want to get a good price, I would think you would want the reputation of being 'the guy who got the first targa top Z and got other people to buy them'. I'm not ragging you. I hope someone gets this done, ANYONE!?

 

i think you should print this thread and show the shop that there are a decent amount of people that are very very rediculously interested in this mod. maybe it'll help convince them to do yours for a good price so that the rest of us who are wussies with being the first for a mod can rest assured after we see the completed project, and turn our cars and money over to them.

 

Basically, everyone here is saying that we need u as a guinea pig...
