Default vinyl wrap roof

On my one week anniversary with Zelda, i decided to treat her with a little something. Got some 3M 1080 CF Gloss wrap from Don Nguyen (search) and applied. Wrapped the roof and the front lip below the grille. Been raining all weekend so my apologies on teh quality.

Attempted to wrap the side mirrors as well, BUT i put the heat gun way too close to the vinyl and caused it to tear. And in the process of removing the vinyl caused an even bigger problem!

before (with billet grille that i'm currently painting)...

...after

Props for undertaking a wrap. Many guys would'nt attempt it.
Hard to see the finished product with the rain drops.
Lets see some pics in the dry.
You are painting the billet grille black?
IMO,looks better with the stock grille.
You may want to wrap the grille blades.
I did this the hard way.Redid the blades in
real CF.

I almost paid someone to do it, they prolly would have charged way to much for what it's worth, but after a day of looking at youtube videos...I felt like I was a pro (wrong idea). I'll def take some more pics whenever the rain goes away, but im afraid the sun will show all of my F'ups (and there were many) All in all, i think it turned out decent. Never was a fan of the grille when I bought it and once I foud out it was a bolt on and the stock was behind it, I was like why not paint it black for the hell of it and see how it looks. where can I find pics of yours in CF?

The look is pretty dope. I had a friend help me on the top and neither of us really knew what we were doing, but it's not the hardest thing in the world to do, JUST BE VERY VERY PATIENT! as far as the vinyl taking the paint off the roof...i don't want to find out...

yea, i had the itch for plati dip as well. it's some good stuff if you use it in the right spots and resist the urge to go crazy with it once you see how easy it is to work with.

Any one know of a good product to get bugs, bird crap, and other gunk of of paint?

I know this thread is basically dead right now, but are those grille inserts easy to install? I'm thinking about getting one just to add a little to my car.

haha, i wouldn't say AIDS more like chicken pox! (annoying, yet curable)

But it's not hard to intall. All that is needed i would say are a long screwdriver the screws and the mounting brackets.
