Talking Graffiti Motorsport "K" harness bar. Just installed it.

Hello all:

I finally received the Graffiti Motorsport "K" harness bar that I ordered in July from Enjuku Racing. Wow the fit and finish are phenomenal. Still need to source a bolt for one of the back mounting points. It took me in the neighborhood of an hour to do. I bought two longer bolts, 7/16 x 20 x 2", from Lowes to make this work. I even managed to keep the stock extension arms on the seat belts. I may remove them later though. Fitting the corbeau 5 points belts was a snap. Everything finally looks right and I still can recline the seat to the original angles. Two Thumbs up. Check out the photos I took. I'll include a link to my Picasa album.

Opinions are welcome. And yes I still need to deal with the carpeting in the back of the car.

Looks like a quality design , but I would at minimum run the Kirk or Autopower harness bar.

Definitely. Just did a weekend at TWS in College Station. What a great track clockwise. Super fast. Gonna shoot for a December run to MSR in Cresson, TX. I have a lot to learn but I am going to enjoy every minute of it. Can't wait.

Default Yes the seats both recline normally.

Tony530, yes, the recline angles do not change post install. I have no issues with seat interference. The area behind the speaker wall is also still useful for carrying small items. Scratch the golf clubs though. GRIN. Overall a thumbs up.

got one just like it installed, the red color looks nice plus it makes the interior look better.
the harness bar stands out, even if you don't want to see it.

Default @Dan, Thanks.

@Dan, the red color sure makes a difference in my opinion. It just stands out. The only flaws were, one of the B pillar mounting holes needed to be drilled out to accomodate the stock mounting bolt. The drivers side rear deck mounting hole needed to be drilled and tapped (minor nuisance at best) and they sent no attachment hardware or instructions whatsoever. It's not rocket science, but one or two pointers, and a diagram would have been a nice touch. Perhaps that is the fault of the reseller though. Either way no harm done. I did decide to remove the extension arms from the seat belts, they were kinda in the way, looks cleaner overall without them.

I had the same problem, I just went out and bought bolts that would fit properly for the back and also got longer bolts for the top, once I got the correct size bolts everything fell right into place. mine is black but it still stands out which is o.k. cause I like the looks of it. the extension arms were a pain in the a$$ but I still put them back in, either way the bar looks great.

I know I'm digging up an old thread but I've finally come to the conclusion that this is what I need if I'm going to keep doing track days (DE-4 and probably time trials soon) and use the car as a DD too. I understand the rollover risk associated with harness bars but I also understand that a roll bar just isn't safe or practical on the street.

I have a couple of questions. Do any of you guys have the exact specs on the bolts that you needed?

Also, corsairprime, you mentioned having to drill and tap a hole in the rear deck. Isn't there a threaded hole already there? If not, did you do this yourself? Where did you get the dye set? Was there strong enough metal to drill into?
