Has anyone bought new parts, e.g. front bumper, from Slidegood and had it painted by them before?
I'm thinking about buying an 06+ front bumper from them and having them painting it KY0. Local prices were outrageous to paint a new bumper. Not sure if that's a good sign or bad sign.
Has anyone had experience going this route? Slidegood said they never have had any issues, although a partnered company does the painting. I'm just wondering if any members have done it.
Thanks for any feedback.

I never knew they sold new oem parts. did you ask if they have an old bumber they can paint?. it might cost cheaper and look basically the same as painted new. you can also post a "want to buy thread". you may find one in excellent condition.

Well I went with the paint to match option from Slidegood. It came out pretty good IMO. I would recommend them if anyone else wanted to go this route. Phil at Slidegood was very helpful from start to finish.
Here are some pics. Fitment is great, I just did a quick test fit to show the color. I know it's not showing natural light but I did open the garage door and it seemed pretty good.
Also, keep in mind the wall on the right hand side of the photos is a very dark bluish/gray (accent wall). Different material surfaces (metal, plastic) will vary in color no matter. Even my original front bumper did.

It's actually a non-OEM bumper made in Taiwan, so I'm not too concerned about it being from a wreck. Has manufacturer decals on it still and there is absolutely no signs of damage from the inner side.
And yes, fitment is about 99%.
If I remember, I'll give a long-term update on it's durability.

I saw this new service they offer on their website the other week. Have been considering it ever since but wasn't sure how "spot on" their paint matching was. You just proved they do a bad-*** job. Thanks! Will definitely be going this route.

Yes it did. I'm very happy with the results.
I was hesitant myself, but I went through countless emails with Phil. He reassured me if something didn't look right to contact him immediately.
I will update with more photos once my Z is back on the road in April/May.

Not going to lie, that looks good. I'm looking for a new oem painted bumper, but I'm just afraid if something does happen there's the hassle of shipping back and forth and paint matching older paint is hard to do when there is no reference. Do you mind me asking how much total you paid for the painted bumper?

I paid $500 shipped for the 06+ front bumper. They also have the 03-05 bumper available as well, which is a little cheaper. Just keep in mind you need to buy the grill inserts and reflectors separately if upgrading to the 06+. Slidegood does not provide those parts with the price.

Thanks for posting your expereince with slidegood, I didn't even consider them as an option. But for half the price painted, I could replace my driver fender too for the price of just a locally painted oem bumper.

Exactly. I just happened to find their service by accident. It's a good thing I did because I thought just like you as far as local pricing for painting a front bumper. I would have spent as much as I did in the end just for the paint job if I went locally.
