Default How do you remove the sunglass holder/dome light

Does anyone know how to remove the sunglass holder/dome light unit between the sunvisors? Is it snapped in or are there screws hidden for removal?

its all clips. Its easier to remove the lights first then the rest (it gives you leverage on pulling it out) The lights you use a small flathead to pop out. Be careful!

If I pull hard around the outer area of the entire sunglass/dome light assembly, will it pop out? Why should the lights be pulled ot first if if necessary, what part of the lights should be pulled on with a flat head screwdriver?

Default sunglass holder removal

i wouldn't do that if i were u!!!!!!!!! the unit is held on by rivets to the headliner from the back. i've taken the headliner down for sound damping.

I still don't don't seem to be getting the answer I need. One reply says it's clips and the other rivets. Can someone give me the specific simple steps on how to pull the sunglass holder/dome lights out possilby in step by step form?

Default Headliner

I pulled out my headliner completely so it was easier to work, it's held on by two center clips and velcro strip the sunglass holder /dome light is held by what I would call compression rings designed to go on easy but when trying to pull them off they grap the plastic be careful when taking them off you don't want to rip any part of your liner. Work the clips slowly up the plastic tips, their are 3 clips in the front and I think 2 on the sides after you pull them off the holder just slips out, when finished just reverse the order I used a socket that was the sime diameter as the rings and used that to push the rings back on.
