Default VHT night shades Issue. Help

Can someone please tell me why this is happening?! Trying to smoke my rear signals with VHT night shades and these weird lines and warped areas keep appearing on BOTH lenses. So after two failed attempts, I took 600 grit to sand off a layer of the warped plastic then went to 2000 then took rubbing alcohol to the light and its still happening?

Note: I've also done my tail lights and they had no problems whatsoever.
Thanks in advance!

Same thing happened to me when I used that crap. I returned the bottle and had shop spray them with black tinted automotive clear.

i figured it out. i let the vht spray and the clear coat sit in warm water for about 15 minutes and also took a hair dryer and warmed up the lenses. walllah! it worked much better. painting in the cold is a major fail

Spray paint bottle don't ever tell you that but most of them don't work correctly in cold temps, a lot of them are manageable.

You want to bang your head against the wall try plastidip when it's cold comes out like the last scene in a **** movie.

I would have went with a light tint rather than using this stuff or just go without it all together, it's a pretty dated modification at this point

This kind of modification is dangerous and illegal in most counties since it makes it difficult to see your lights for drivers behind you

Yea I my friend had the same problem I wouldn't suggest painting anything with spray paint if it's cold out

yeah, i was torn between overlays or vht. since vht was more available i just went with that. wasnt patient enough for the shipping of vinyl. ive heard good n bad about both.
your overlays look real nice tho. good job!

my trunk brake light is still fully lit. and u can still easily see my tail lights and brake lights at night. its honestly not that much different in light output

Ditto, I've never understood why someone would tint their taillights. If you get rear ended in a accident you're pretty much screwed, all the other party has to do is mention to the Police that you made your lights darker and they were hard to see.

Your VHT cracks because

1. Your not letting it dry completly between coats.
2. Spraying it on to thick.

I did mine without any issues it works fine and if you need to remove it i would gas and elbow grease not sandpaper. Just my opinion.
