Hey guys I live in Eugene Oregon and I was thinking about getting some aftermarket headlights installed. The 04's really suck and I want to get some that are black. I'm unsure of where to take them though. There will probably be some various wire cutting and splicing to do to get them working right, so I don't really trust myself to do it. Does anyone know a good shop or know what kind of place would be really knowledgeable about installing them? Thanks a lot.

 

Oem 06 headlights are the nicest you'll get. DIY to paint them or you can send them to lightwerkz

 

+1 ^ stay away from all those sh1tty ebay headlights

 

I like the 06 headlights and if my car already had them I would just paint them but unfortunetly it's an 04 I am looking at the spyder black projector headlights.

I asked where you guys thought a good place to get them installed would be, not what headlights to buy.

 

Keep the 04. It's still better then the crap you are trying to install.

 

Ok ok, They're pretty bad headlights, but I hate how much chrome is in the stock lights but painting them is a pita. Plus on the 04's you can't paint around the bulb or you'll lose output.

 

Why don't you purchase a used set of 06+ headlights?

 

Well I'm on a budget and I haven't found a set yet reasonably priced.

 

Black housing headlights have a really shitty output don't do it they look nice but they suck all the chrome the stocks have work to reflect the light onto the road... I upgrade my 05 halogen to 06 then I painted the housing I hated myself for that so I kept my eye open on craigslist for a set and some dude had done some balck ebay tails on his silver 06 so I traded headlights plus 50$ for his stocks at the same time paid 150$ for his led tails. So id stay stock before going black it'll be less light. On the road. Like everyones been saying stick to 06+ you wont regret it
