Default Fire Extinguisher

First off I've looked everywhere and could not find any other thread on this, so if there is one I apologize.

Does anyone know where I can find/buy a white or black fire extinguisher, and if so where is a good place to put it in the Z? I want it on the windshield kinda above the dash on the passenger side.

This was the biggest ricer fad in the states ever. Very tacky unless it's in a race car.

So it can fly off and hit you in the head in an accident? Unless you plant to remove the pillar cover so you can mount it directly to the A-pillar, just mount it in front of the passenger seat on the floor where you can reach it.

:edit: wanting one just to make it visible makes you a ****ing ricer. nothing about a fire extinguisher says performance.

Get a red one, solid mount it in your reach but not visable.

You realize that practically any fire extinguisher is going to be pretty useless when it comes to an engine fire.

I have one, but it's tiny and only present in case something from the stereo shorts out and catches fire. Some of the fuses are big enough that a short would ignite something before they blew. Plus I've had faulty grounds catch fire in other cars, ever since its been something I keep in every car.

I mean, let's be practical here. Engine fires can go from tiny to inferno in less time it takes you to think about it. So by the time you notice the smoke, pull the car over, unbuckle, and get out, the entire front of the vehicle will be probably engulfed in flames. So your big plan here, after you have made it to safety, is to GET BACK IN THE BURNING VEHICLE, get the extinguisher, pop the hood, and attempt to put it out? :/

Even if that amount of stupidity even took place and you found yourself, extinguisher in hand and ready to play fireman, any fire extinguisher you would have would be totally useless against a fire the size that we are talking about. Even if you had yanked out the passenger seat, and put the biggest industrial extinguisher you could find in its place, it STILL wouldn't be even close to adequate.

The only extinquisher that I see as useful would be a very small one for an electrical fire. But even then, priority #1 is GTFO.

<~ As a 15+yr fire fighter... NEVER open the hood! And a alb extinguisher isn't going to do anything to a fire of the magnitude in the video.

First off, for the people who actually gave some input thanks, so many haters on here, does this question seriously make you mad? Funny.

The only extinquisher that I see as useful would be a very small one for an electrical fire. But even then, priority #1 is GTFO.
My last Eclipse GST had wires that were inproperly taped (previous owner) and I literally had the car for 2 weeks and the wire connection from what used to be his amp sparked in the engine and caught it on fire. (This happened while my curreent GF was driving it and I was at work) She literally took a picture of the fire in the engine bay and sent me a picture, I could not belive she did that instead of getting away from the car.... anyways obviously if there is a huge engine fire I wont attempt to put it out, but a small extinguisher could of put this one out, and like you said its just useful to have in the car.

As far as wrecks go, if its MOUNTED to the A pillar like SR71 said then it should be fine, it wont be loose. Also if I DO wreck my Z I hope the extingusher hits me directly in the face to put me out of my misery.

Ummmm...

Get the largest red one that you can find and mount it in a nitrous bottle holder in the back. Don't forget to wrap it with some cool led lights just in case you can't see it in the midst of an emergency.

PS: Don't forget to tighten your floorboard bolts. I'd hate for it to fall out on you when you hit the NOS!!!

I mounted mine in the floorboard in front of the seat. The seat glides over it just fine.

Lol, if you dont like something then why even comment about it? Everyone has a different taste, and I just wrote a paragraph about WHY I want a fire extinguisher, so either you cant read or you are jsut one of those people who follow everyone else. PS. Where do you live in Tokyo? (I'm in Yokosuka)

I want a fire extinguisher in my car, yeah that makes me a retard.

You people on this board are so bitter its actually funny. Is your life that terrible?

That's what everyone keeps telling me on here so I'm thinking I'll do the same if I cant find a proper spot on the pillar/frame.

A lot of unneccesary flame. Something as simple as a mono amp can catch flames in seconds during the summer time.

I installed mine on the pillar between the rear cabin and the seats, mounted right in between the two speakers. Clean setup and looks great through the rear window. Not ricey at all unless it looks like you installed a huge bottle of NOS. Lol
