Default Factory mirrors with LED lighting

I don't post very often, here, but always try to stay abreast of news on the forum.

After having modded my 2010 SS Camaro with factory mirrors modified with LED lighting (parking lights and turn signals), I decided to try and get some for my '06 Z.

I didn't want any aftermarket mirrors, because I did not want to deviate from the design of the factory mirrors.

I purchased an extra set of factory mirrors and had them modified with a set of very subtle LED lighting. The mirror housings were primed and painted with the factory color and installed (not by me). I had to use a dual intensity circuit to ensure the LED lighting in the mirrors would go on with the parking lights and that the turn signals would operate with the same LED lighting in the mirrors.

I just thought I would share this with some folks on the forum, who like the "factory" look, but want the lighting of the newer cars.

Here is a picture of the modified mirror, prior to installlation:

Here is a picture of the installed mirror with the parking lights activated:

Yes,

they are dual purpose: parking lights and turn signals.

I wouldn't have used them as parking lights. Turn signals are a good idea, though.

Looks really slick, and as stated, very original-looking. Nice work.

I wouldn't personally want these installed on my car but like the quality of what you've done

Nice work!

+1... also this is a good alternative to installing turn signals on the Z fender emblems.
