Real wood kit?
I thought all new cars don't have real wood anymore? Including Bentley and Rolls. I heard that the wood was becoming a safety issue due to splintering during accidents so they started using other materials such as plastic.
I've seen real wood in recent cars, but it's machined so it's literally paper-thin, with the clear finish actually being thicker than the actual wood. So, a genuine wood look, with safety in case of impact.
As for real wood in older cars, I've had guite a few (Alfa, Jaguar, Austin-Healey, and Lotus), and it doesn't last long in the harsh environment of a car interior. The wood expands and contracts with temp and humidity, eventually causing the surface coating (lacquer or varnish in the old days, newer had polyurethane) to crack, and it's all downhill from there. Very pretty and elegant in a show car or garage queen, though. Modern restoration pieces, to replace the original wood, are now usually made from those paper-thin veneers with a modern weather-proof clear coating, and they're much more durable than the originals.

I would love to see a clean black woodgrain waterfall and accent pieces. I have been thinking about the best was to really improve the interior of the Z and this is one of the thoughts.
There are quite a lot of woodgrain hydrodip films available:

I did finally get my interior finished, and while I'm very happy with the result, I can understand the high gloss might not be for everyone:

Yah a matte or semigloss in my opinion would look better although that dip turned out great.
I think a vertical grain Ash in dark gray with accents that match the rest of the car.

IMO,wood does not go on a Z.The interior is just too contemporary.
Of course,I'm partial to CF.A brushed metal looks good in a Z.
You really have to see an install in person. They just don't photograph well.
If you have ever seen a Veyron or a McClaren in person, you wil see what I mean.
