Question Real wood kit?

Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get a genuine wood trim kit like this one:

Thanks in advance, my interior is a bit scratched so it would be a welcomed change. I searched but the search was dividing it to both wood and kit.

That looks so ugly.

Get a carbon fiber trim kit.

If you are looking for a "dash kit",CARID.com offers good kits.
Most negative posts on dash kits are from guys that have never seen one in
person.I do not like a "wood" kit.However,a CF(real) looks great.I've done my
entire interior in CF.Its a combo of dash kit parts, molded parts and custom
made CF panels.Check my veh pics for an example.Again, dash kits get
a bad rap from those that have either not seen a install in person or heard
bad stuff like peeling, edges coming up.If you install properly, the results are great.
I've had mine installed for over 3 years,it looks brand new...no problems.
A personal preference for sure. These kits offer just about any finish.IMO,
other than CF and brushed aluminum, most others don't work in a Z.

lol ok I'm gonna go with CF, I was going for real wood though not those stickers you place. I'm looking at the 3M carbon wrap, maybe I'll give that a go.

Thanks for your feedback.

Complete overkill, not to mention the gaps left between piece and the pieces that look like they were simply stuck on.

My opinion... looks like trash.

If I were to do wood I would have it Vacuum press/wrap some exotic wood. I was hoping you were doing this... I might try it.

But dont do that woodgrain kit

Honestly, if you like the wood look, but don't want the crappy sticker look, you should go with getting it hydro dipped. I believe one of our sponsors on the site does custom hydro dipping.

I've seen it done, and it looks real clean when done right. Not everyone is a fan of it, and really that's not suprising since we all have different taste. I belive though, that if this is the look you're going for, this is the best way to execute it. Have fun modifying!

The waterfall and door trim from my '08 is in the process of being hydrodipped right now. Should have all the pieces back and installed in ~2 weeks. I bought some used pieces to send, so I could continue to drive the car during the process, and I'm not sure if I'll keep or sell the stock pieces. Hydrodipping seems the best way to go. Almost infinite pattern choices, durability, and I'm only paying about 2x what people charge for vinyl wrapping.

You have to understand I'm not looking for the same kit in the pic, I wanted one made from REAL burl wood like you would find in most sports cars, I liked it on my '97 XK8 at the time so I thought, why not?

I figured that's probably what you were talking about, however that's not in high demand for our cars. Real wood seems to be reserved for more luxury cars it seems. The picture I posted is of a grey/black wood color, but you could go with any shade of wood grain and it'd look just as nice. (And not as expensive!) I've seen the wood momo steering wheel in a few Z's and it looks pretty clean as well. It'd definitely be unique, but could be real clean if done right. Whatever you choose I'm sure will turn out nice OP.

That's a GT car, not a sports car.
