Default Looking for reputable carbon fiber kits

Hey guys Ive searched around but I wasn't able to find anywhere that sells a good carbon fiber kit twill weave.

Anyone have any recommendations on a kit? I want to do parts of my
Interior and my mirror covers. Thanks!

Go to carbonfiberelement.com. give Tony a call. He is in your area so you should be able to personally see his work. Best way is to have him wrap your actaul interior parts. There
will be many more members refering you to him as well as this thread grows. He is a member here. lots of guys have done business with him.

Thank you very much for directing me in the right direction. I really appreciate it and will defiantly give him a call

Unfortunately I don't have much money so I would be stuck with buying a
kit and wrapping it up myself

The only real starter kit I could find i this

Would I be able to wrap a few interior pieces using this kit? And maybe my mirror covers?

Sure you just need enough material...starter kit is just that, starter. For bigger projects you'd need more.

I would say start with the door trim panels for practice. They have small curves which are a great learning curve.

Other than that get started

It's actually hydrographic printing, or hydrodipping.

Vids are available on youtube showing the process, and it's quite interesting. Seems like a much better alternative to vinyl wrapping, and cheaper/less trouble than using a a real cf fabric. The coating is very thin, so there are no clearance issues when reinstalling the pieces, and the clear coat is the same thing used on exterior body surfaces, so it's very durable. There are literally hundreds of different film patters available, but the one I chose seems to be the closest in appearance to real CF. Can't wait to see the pieces in person, and get them back into my car. I wanted to eliminate every piece in the interior which had that sh!tty rubberized coating, and hopefully this will be a great-looking and permanent fix. It got to the point where I just couldn't stand getting into my car anymore. I'll post up some pics when everything is installed.

EDIT: Vendor link removed, as there were some issues with quality of the parts I received.

The surface is smooth as glass. The film itself doesn't have any texture, and the clear coat is applied over it, then wet-sanded and polished. I think the 2 close-up pics better represent the real color of the pattern I chose, and the color is actually dependent on the base paint applied before the film. I chose a gloss black undercoat, bt if one chose blue, for example, the CF pattern would appear blue.

I had the waterfall done, the cubby door (not pictured), the shifter surround, the trim around the head unit (not pictured), both interior door handles, and both door a/c vents. Cost is ~$350, and it's based on surface area and how much film is required.

Default Hydrodipped

I had my interior hydrodipped. Love the way it came out. I get a lot of compliments on it.

Thanks, And I got it all done for less than $250. The guys at Sign Pro did mine. Dropped it off on a Friday and picked it up the following Wednesday. Maybe they weren't too busy at the time. Very happy with the results though.
