Default Di-noc wrapped my shifter panel

Well, I got tired of looking at the scratches on my shifter panel (I think thats what its called). Earlier this year I installed some leather seats in my car and I am happy with how they came out, I would give them an 8 out of 10. Now i want to clean up some scratches on my panels which some dirtbag at an audio specialty shop induced when troubleshooting an issue I was having with an amp. Thats what I get for letting other people touch my car.

Anyway, this is my first time using this material and as I have read, you do need patience for something likke this but definitely doable for the DIY types.

I got a 24x48" piece, a couple of 3M 94 Primer sticks, and a felt squeeegee. THis piece took me about 1.5 hours to complete. In the near future I will take it off and redo it now that I've gottten my feet wet

I like the way it looks. I'm debating if I should do the whole center console or leave as is. What do you guys think?

Sorry for the dark Pic, I will try to take better ones soon.

Looks good, now do the rest of the console. Don't forget to make sure the weave is going the same direction as the piece you've already done.

Quick question. When you peel it off does it leave residue?

Hey man, good news. In my case it didn't leave any residue behind. I removed the test wrap I had applied and then wiped down the panel with some alcohol. Good as new.

Round 2:
I went ahead and pulled my test wrap off and reapplied. Sorry once again for the crappy iPhone pics. The first pic is of all the materials I used (scissor, blade, 3m Primer94, 3M DiNoc, Heat Gun, Squeegee, Rubbing Alcohol, and a bowl of cereal ) The second pic is the item wrapped on my dining table and the last pic is installed in my car. I plan on doing my door switch covers, and maybe the door barrels and the rest of the center console.

I do have a tiny bubble between the ***** thats bugging me. I'm going to see if i can working it out, otherwise Round 3, lol.

Looks good! Couldn't you pop the bubble with a needle? I don't know cause I've never worked with the stuff.

+1

I like it. Gives me an idea of what I'd like to do this coming week for my Z.
