No reason for switching. I just like to try out different things. I kind of like the carbon fiber hood look...

Im probably not going to do it though. People I work with who know nothing about cars dont really like it either....

Do you ask your coworkers what kind of dress you should wear in the morning also?

Uuuuummmm....NO

Thats not the point. Some times if Im unsure about some thing I want to do to one of my vehicles I ask "non-car" people. I think you'll get a more honest answer from people that dont know you as well compared to people who do,especially those who know nothing about cars. No one here picks out my clothes either, but getting different perspectives is important to me before dropping several hundred dollars on some thing that might not be a good idea....

Carbon fiber hood on an otherwise stock car =

Carbon fiber hood painted cars body color with vents left carbon =

BTW, it's kind of hilarious to see how this topic was discussed 7 years back, times and taste has certainly changed!

How about something like this? Still flows with the lines of the car, vented as well, Plus 1yr limited warranty.

The way I look at it is if you have a carbon fiber hood you better have something under it that isn't stock. Why have a carbon fiber hood just to open it and see a stock engine bay? As far as looks go, I think a cf hood looks good on our cars. It looks better if you have a body kit and/or other cf accents or body mods.
