Trying to get through the glass to pop it open, "quietly." Needed to "pop" your pillar off. Dude/s probably saw the flashing stock alarm light.. tried to be quiet and saw they couldn't get into it without having to make some noise.
It's no use to them unless they're going to tape it or glue it on.. fingerprints are on it though, so they had to take it.
They would have stole your Honda.

^I guess this is the most plausible story. Because I don't think there's a black market specifically for 2006 350Z pillar panels lol....fml
