Default eBay CF intake vents

Just wondering if anyone has purchased a CF intake vent off eBay. Looks like they run between $40-$50. Wanted to know how the quality was and if they are worth it? Thanks for any help.

I tried on of those Chinese company's CF products. EPR international. Their 2JZGTE CF spark plug cover quality is really good and it was cheap. It was like $120.

My vent finally came in the mail. Something looks a little off to me. Could someone with a non eBay vent post the measurements of theirs? Mine also doesn't have a template. Anyone know where I can get one? Mine seems kinda thin. I don't have a problem if this one doesn't work out, as long as it's not bigger than other ones. I'm just afraid to cut into my bumper if this one is miss shaped. Measurements on mine are 7.25" x 4". Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also, this was purchased from Jumbo Depot.

I bought one off eBay a couple years back for my first z. I had trouble finding a good template for it and all the ones I found online didn't quite work. I ended up using a dry erase marker to sketch a template onto the car. My advice is to start small as you can always take more off. Once I got the hole the right size the fitment was great.

Measure twice. cut never. Do you really want to hack up your bumper for a mod which does nothing and looks like crap?

I know they probably don't do anything, but I like the look. I haven't installed it though cause I worry that it will look like crap if it doesn't fit right though.

But...If you're going to do it measure twice and make sure it is horizontally straight lol

The install will be easy. I'm just worried because something looks a little off on the one I got. I wanted to get the measurements on say a Titek or something like that. As long as other alternative are the same as my Jumbo Depot, I can replace it if it doesn't work and the hole will be the same. Just don't want to have to cut a hole and then it be too big for any other one.

What do you mean by 'not work,'? Aren't they all the same? A hole in the bumper in front of the intake, with a mesh screen or such built in to screen objects from flying in? I've never looked into one but that is my assumption on these things

Here's a little update even though I'm sure no one really cares:
Cut the bumper today using the Titek template since the one from Jumbo Depot didn't come with one. Went to put the duct in and noticed the bottom left hand corner is cracked. This this is paper thin. It would have to be flexed a little to screw/rivet it on and that would probably just snap the piece off. So now I've got a hole in my bumper and a pretty much broken duct. Awesome.
Now I'm trying to find out if the JM Auto Racing duct will fit in the Titek template or not.

Might want to choose another vendor. He just has the stuff drop-shipped, anyway, and there are better vendors to deal with. Personal experience - that's all I'm saying.

Different vendor other than Jumbo Depot or JM Auto Racing?

I only know JM, but the other doesn't sound so good, either.
