the "bmccann101s car gets a new look/ watch me suffer bodywork hell" thread
What about doing even more white...hood/roof/horzontal portion of wing/sideskirts/hatch? basically diffusers on front/back/sides/sideview mirrors/vertical sides of wing/door handles and canards stay black....might define a bit more.

I just think those eye lids need to go when seeing that white on top. Looks awkward. part of it might be dat hood gap (doe)
Also noticed you photoshopped in more low. nice lol

i couldn't help myself on lowering. Yeah i agree the hood going flush would help line up on the eyelids but either way i would match the eyelids to color of hood whether the hood spacer stays or not. so if staying cf then eyelids cf as well.
Was saying white from the beginning...everyone should listen to me all the time.
White shows the lines and lets you accent the car in a million ways since everything goes with white.
I do think your car would look stunning in a San Marino Blue with silver rims and a different spoiler...the rear spoiler draws too much attention in my opinion...makes the whole car look home made when the rest of the car looks for the most part like it could've been a factory build in terms of build quality. The spoiler is high quality install, but the scale and lines of it are out of whack a bit in my opinion.
White will be stunning though, will look wider as well. Best would be white paint of course, and a few coats of Zaino.

Homemade? nothing home made about it.. it makes the car, and aint going aywhere. White actual hides the body lines vs the current color... and has been a very popular color combo lately.. hence why i released the car w a different and more rare color.
There will be no paint as the car swaps colors often and has a vinyl sponsor.
Hood cannot go flush either.
The car will get a red stripe through the middle, as the color combo im shooting for this time is from the Pagani Cinque, obviously modified to fit a z body lines vs the pagani shape.

also,, carbon fiber interior pieces, door panels, pillars, sill plates.. will all get some cutoms artwork by a few local tattoo artist this year.. mostly Brazil Japanese style, bolder than regular traditional Japanese tattooo art work.. should be cool.. most likely simple colors on printed vinyl that can be swapped and reprinted as the colors change. Some parts may end up using matte clear and satin black over the carbon fiber or a ghost etch effect.. should be VERY cool.

Not to argue....but white doesn't hide body lines...dark colors do that until lighting is applied, then the light that accents the edge lines of a curve can reveal the curve lines that differentiate that line from other body lines...but by itself a dark color will actually suppress a body line until lighting creates highlights in the paint...those highlights are what make the lines more visible...just look at car ads when a dark car is shown driving through a night time urban environment...all the lights reflecting in the dark paint....that lighting environment was chosen for a reason when a dark color is chosen for the car.
Wrap wise I understand, if you're sponsored by vinyl then that's a good way to go. I do think paint looks far better though, and classier.
Pagani wise, personally....I don't think the Z will look anywhere's near as aggressive and clean as the Cinque since the hood of a Z isn't sunken as a valley between the two fenders...that valley creates a natural sweeping line to fall from the windshield to the bottom of the front bumper....but Z's are more plain..my least favorite part of the z...the front end treatment (and I LOVE the Z)....but because there's no valley the visual weight of a big color down the middle becomes the focal point with no physical design element of the front end to balance out the stripe-magnet-to-eyes effect in the same success as the Cinque can naturally pull off. All attention will hold on the stripe with no natural elements of the car to move the eye down the lines of the car again. Creating matte v glossy treatments can activate the eye when the lines do not....but that's another story entirely...and this story is way too long already.

Much respect to your work and attention to detail....just trying to throw some things out that might be of help.

For the record the rear wing does look nicely balanced to the front end in that both have a clean flat plane, so they look parallel to each other and create a sense of balance that I like from that angle...but from the rear something is missing? The scale thing just bugs me.

The white black with red stripe is the best color combo so far for my own opinion, with the look going up another notch or two if the hood were actual paint in gloss black along with the black accents on sides. Then you'd have the glossy black/matte white contrast going on with vinyl. Would add a nice touch of sophistication in the color treatment, but I hear ya...vinyl it has to be.
Looking forward to seeing your new interior....if there was any way you could redo your dash panels on the driver and passenger side that would be another nice upscale of creativity.
Really looks nice Brian. Now take all my advice.

so.. you kids want some updates?
Hope you didnt think i was donre.. im just getting started.
Promoted the classiccars.com event on the local Good Morning Arizona broadcast this morning..
Picked up Concept Z Performance as a build sponsor, along with a set of their brand new light weight two piece rotors for Akebono cars.. built by DBA.
akebono and oem rotors are super heavy, rotational and unspring weight.. this will be a big hit in the performance department aside from way better looks.
Also matching powerstop rear rotors..
Speedhut gagues just shipped out to me today in black face, whote needle, white letters and glow... and Bob Hickey is swapping the entire interior and dash to white needle and white LED for me.... we are backlighting the main gauges and the triple stack gauges in RGB so we can change colors against the white landscape lighting.
I am shooting my PASMAG feature with the car this Sunday..
We have about three weeks until its time to re wrap the car, just after Dionne Mascunana comes to shoot the car for TOYO.
Very exciting time.. very tiring time also.
